As a System Engineer in Hyderabad, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the operability, usability, and maintainability of rolling stock systems. You will be at the heart of ensuring trains run smoothly, reliably, and safely, working closely with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, project management, and maintenance.

This role is perfect for those who want to combine technical expertise with real-world impact. You’ll engage in everything from operational needs analysis to developing human-machine interfaces and innovative operational scenarios.

What you’ll do:

• Identify the operability context for new rolling stock.
• Analyse source requirements such as customer specifications, regulations, and industry norms.
• Perform HVAC and heat load calculations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to close operability gaps.
• Develop operational scenarios using “Day In The Life-cycle Of The Train” (DITLOTT) methodology.
• Verify operability through modelling, simulation, and other verification methods.
• Provide Return on Experience (RoE) insights for standard solution improvements.
• Support operability-related queries and deliver local training sessions when required.

Key Technical Skills:

System Engineering, HVAC Calculations, Requirements Analysis, DOORS (Requirements Management Tool), Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Systems Modelling Language (SysML), Analytical Skills, Problem-Solving, Multidisciplinary Collaboration.

Requirements:

• M.Tech/B.Tech from a recognized university.
• Understanding or experience in large-scale system engineering projects.
• Knowledge of railway operability aspects (operational environment, infrastructure, user needs).
• Familiarity with requirements management tools like DOORS.
• Background in MBSE and SysML.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to work effectively with teams across multiple locations and cultures.
